Road Trip USA: Mt Rushmore to Milwaukee (1416km)

The next leg took us through the night through South Dakota and into Minnesota.

We left mount Rushmore at about 7:30, and stopped for a bite in Rapid City (an ironic name for a town to stop at during a road trip) on the way through and were served by a nice American girl who took a fancy to our accents!
Lee took over the driving and after a brief stop for speeding before leaving South Dakota, (I think the officer realised he'd bitten off more paperwork than he could chew, with pulling over a Canadian car, with British drivers! We were only 15mph over the limit anyway!) he carried on through the evening into Minnesota, till 2am, where i took over and drove through the night. An ammusing sign during the night drive! Since the Americans use English place names, the ones they think of have to be a bit different, others we saw included Helyer road, and crazy woman creek!
After 575km, i was knackered so i handed back over to Lee, who drove us to Milwaukee. Typical landscape of South Dakota!

Milwaukee - we didn't stop in this german town, but we did have a short drive round, and it looked like they were pulling the place down! So we carried on to Chicago!
